Announcements:
Following a visit to the Saddam General Childrens’ Hospital one HS suggested action regarding importing additional medicines with Human Shields who are preparing to come into Iraq.
He has information about which medicines are needed and will distribute it.
Committee Reports:
Site committee:
John reported on the trip to Mosul. He said it was very successful. They received a warm welcome and have been invited to ‘shield’ several significant cultural and religious sites.
Preparations are going ahead for a visit to the electricity station site on Sunday.
Some Human Shields have already began to go to the Water Treatment site.
Office committee:
The e-mail in room 206 is not working properly.
A printer will be purchased using the money collected at the meeting last night
Web committee:
Photos will be taken after the meeting for profiles on the web-site.

Emergency Preparedness:
Tomorrow in Al-Safeer Hotel at 12 noon there will be a first aid class. All are welcome to attend.
Political Action:
Action tomorrow morning at 10.30am at Al-Safeeya Hotel going to the Press Centre, Al-Rasheed Hotel and UN Headquarters to protest against the manipulations in the media about the situation in Iraq.
Spanish group is preparing an action re: a hospital. They want to set up a camp at a hospital. Suggested they talk to the Sites Committee.
Press conference regarding the medical effects of depleted uranium will probably be on Monday.
Ken has idea of project to try to ‘humanise’ the situation with a possible publication ‘Just like you and me only from Iraq’.
Says our daily interactions with Iraqis are important. Leaders around the world are now referring to Human Shields.
Our presence alone is making an impact.
